Netflix has decided to end "The Crown" on a much more positive note.
The sixth season of the hit period drama will conclude with the wedding of King Charles (Dominic West) and Queen Camilla (Olivia Williams), which took place in 2005.
The Royal couple’s ceremony will be filmed this week at York Minster, which is being used instead of St George's Chapel in Windsor where the King and Camilla tied the knot in 2005.
The ceremony will be portrayed in a positive way, with those involved in the series' production, hoping it will “change the perception” of the drama.
This attempt to lighten the mood comes after the outrage the drama faced after Princess Diana's death, at the age of 36, was depicted.
“The Crown” premiered in 2016 and centered around the royal family through several periods, starting in the late 1940s and early 1950s with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s marriage and early careers.
