Paramount released Wednesday the trailer for the action-thriller movie “The Contractor”, starring Chris Pine.
The movie is centered around a special forces sergeant James Harper (Pine) who is involuntarily discharged from the army. He contracts with an underground military operation and finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that leaves him fighting for his life.
It also stars Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, JD Pardo, Florian Munteanu, and others.

The movie is written by J.P. Davis. and directer by Swedish filmmaker Tarik Saleh.
“The Contractor” marks Saleh's English language film debut.
Pine will also serve as an executive producer along with Michael Flynn, Dan Friedkin, Jonathan Fuhrman, Micah Green, Esther Hornstein, Robert Simonds, and Daniel Steinman.
Co-producers include David Minkowski and Carmen Pepelea with producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee.
“The Contractor” will debut in theaters and digitally on April 1.
Pine is also set to star in the next “Star Trek” movie, directed by “WandaVision” director Matt Shakman.
He will also make his directorial debut and star in AGC Studios’ “Poolman” alongside Annette Bening and Danny DeVito, which is set to begin filming later this year.
Pine was last since in the 2020 movie “Wonder Woman 1984”.
