Taylor Swift has taken the U.S. box office by storm with her new concert film, “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” based on her twelfth studio album.

Released last Friday, the film earned an estimated $33 million over the weekend across more than 50 countries, according to Exhibitor Relations.

The film showcases Swift creating the twelve tracks on her album, featuring behind-the-scenes commentary, music video clips, including the opening track, “The Fate of Ophelia,” and interactive audience moments with singing and dancing in theaters.

David A. Gross, an analyst at Franchise Entertainment Research, said the film’s success reflects Swift’s unique influence in music and entertainment, noting that its limited release likely capped its box office potential.

Swift’s film dominated the weekend, outperforming major releases including Leonardo DiCaprio’s action-drama and Dwayne Johnson’s new action film.
