Tawfik Abdel Hamid Retracts Retirement Decision

Veteran Egyptian actor Tawfik Abdel Hamid has decided to withdraw his retirement plan.

Abdel Hamid announced Monday on Facebook that he was stepping away from acting due to health issues.

The acclaimed actor disclosed that he will retire after he finished filming his new TV series “U-Turn”, starring Riham Hagag.

The decision had sent shockwaves throughout the country as the actor recently made his comeback after a 12-year hiatus.

However, Abdel Hamid deleted the post on Tuesday and noted in another one, that sometimes acting, specifically in TV series, gave him the opportunity to put a piece of him into the character which sometimes can be more or less, in accordance with the details and events, something that was fun and very painful.
