Tarek Lotfy, Hend Sabry, Ahmed Dash to Star in Film "Hamlet"

Egyptian actor Tarek Lotfy is gearing up to make a comeback to the big screen after four years of absence.

It is set to be shot under the title "Hamlet".

Hend Sabry and Ahmed Dash are attached to star in the film.

Lotfy made his last onscreen appearance in the 2024 film "Elsystm" ("The System"), which featured a cast that included Ahmed El Fishawy, Nesreen Tafesh, Mais Hamdan, Passant Shawky, Mohamed Ali Rezk, and more.

The film is scripted by Ahmed Mustafa, directed by Ahmed El Bendary, and produced by Run Films and Best Media Production.

Lotfy, born on November 20, 1965, graduated in 1989 from the Arts Academy with a bachelor's degree in Acting and Directing.

He caught the eye of late cinema director Atef El Tayeb who believed in his talent and introduced him in the 1991 film "Demaa ala AL Asfalt" (Blood on the Asfalt).

His film credits also include "122", "Ean aleashq walhuaa", "Law Kan Da Helm", "Alhabu al'awal", and "Saeidi Fil Gameaa Al Amerikeya".

On the TV side, Lotfy is best known for roles in "Jazeerat Ghamam", "El Qahera: Kabul", "Bein Alameen", "Gabal Al Halal", "A'd Tanazoly", "Hekayet Hayat", "Ma Sabek El Asrar", "Qadyet Safia", "Bent Men Shoubra", "Al-Hakika w Al-Sarab", and "Malak Ruwhi".
