Tanta Museum’s Library Inaugurated

Moamen Othman, the Head of the Museums Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, opened on Thursday the library of the Tanta Museum.

The library will present several scientific and cultural services for researchers and students in whole Delta region who are specialized in the field of history and archaeology.

The library includes various 1500 books and volumes in the field of Coptic, Greco-Roman, Islamic studies and Egyptology in several languages such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Persian, and Indian.

In addition, specialized writings and books in the field of antiquities prevention, and some releases of the French Council, and several dissertations by Professor Abdel Hamid Saad, Professor Adel Zain Al Abadeen.

Therefore, Othman honoured the working team of the museum for their efforts in establishing the library.

On his side, Israa Abdel Gawad, the responsible for libraries at the Sector of Museums, said that a new database for the library in the cooperation with the Central Administration for Information.

Dr. Emad Bedier, the General Manager of Tanta Museum, the work will continue at the library by providing it with more books, and volumes for serving the majority of students and researchers in Delta for saving their travelling time from Delta region to Cairo.
