Kathryn Hahn has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action “Tangled” film as the villain Mother Gothel.
The “Agatha All Along” star joins the previously reported Teagan Croft in the role of Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider as the third lead.
Mother Gothel is the villain of the original animated film, one who pretends to be an overprotective guardian to Rapunzel while secretly using her ward’s magic hair to stay young and beautiful.
was reported to be in talks for the role in January.
The "Tiny Beautiful Things" and "The Studio" actress took to Instagram to confirm she would play the wicked Mother Gothel in the upcoming live-action film.
In the post, Hahn upload a video in which she shared that she had just learned that OOTD means Outfit of The Day, showing off a Tshirt full of the animated Mother Gothel (voiced by Donna Murphy) cutouts. Coincidentally, since she joined the platform, her username has been @motherhahn.

The voice cast featured Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Brad Garrett, and Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel. Composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater were behind the film’s music.
