Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny will perform live on New Year's Eve at the New Capital Countdown Festival at Capital Arena in Egypt on Wednesday, December 31.
He is set to present several of his popular and latest songs.
The evening features performances by fellow Egyptian superstar Tamer Ashour and iconic Lebanese singer Elissa.
The event begins at 3:00 PM and continues till after midnight.
Hosny, born on August 16, 1977, began his career when renowned TV presenter Salma Al Shamaa gave him his lifetime opportunity to perform at the Cairo Opera House.
During his performance, he worked alongside other rising talents including, Sherine Mohamed Abdel-Wahab; the performance was attended by renowned producer Nasr Mahrous.
Ever since, Hosny worked closely with Mahrous and released his first album, which consequently achieved great success and opened the gates of stardom and fame, not only in singing but also in the entertainment industry.
He made his acting debut in the 2004 film “Halet Hob”, co-starring Hany Salama, Hend Sabry, and others.
Hosny is known for singing “Kol Mara”, “Bent El Eh” and “Aktar Haga”, and for his roles in films such as “Omar and Salma” and “Captain Hema”.
The pop star performed many shows in Egypt and other Arab countries, including Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Dubai, and Jordan.
