Egyptian musician-actor, Tamer Hashem is the latest addition to the cast of actress Riham Hagag's TV series "Athens".
Written by Ayman Salama and directed by Yahya Ismail, "Athens" sheds light on the impact of social media and analyzes its negative effects.
The series consists of 15 episodes and is produced by Vantage Media Productions. It reunites Hagag with her "Gamila" co-stars Sawsan Badr and Nabil Eissa for the second time.
"Athens" also witnesses Eissa and Hagag's third collaboration after working together in "Gamila" and "Lama Kona Soghayareen".
Ahmed Magdy, Mahmoud Kabil, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Omar El Said, and Jana Ashkar also star in the drama.
"Athens" also reunites Hagag and Salama for the fourth time. They previously collaborated on the TV series "Sodfa", "Gamila", and “U-Turn”.
"Athens" is currently underway and is set to screen during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Hagag participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Sodfa”.
It also starred Khaled El Sawy, Shereen Reda, Salwa Khattab, Firas Saayed, and more.
It also saw Hagag reuniting with "Gamila" and “U-Turn” creators screenwriter Ayman Salama and director Sameh Abdelaziz.
Hagag, born on September 22, 1986, in Milano, Italy to Egyptian parents, and she spent most of her life abroad, where she studied mass communication and worked in the marketing field for some time.
Upon her return to Egypt, she started an acting career with her role in the film “Safari” in 2010, and in the same year, she took a role in the TV series “Azmet Sokkar”, which achieved great success.
In 2012, Hagag portrayed the famous Egyptian belly dancer Samia Gamal in the biopic “Karioka.” Her role in the film “Ba’d El Toufan” (After the Flood) was met with critical acclaim, and she won a prize for her role in the Marrakesh film festival.
She co-starred in several films and TV productions with prominent stars in the film industry and became known for her roles in 2014 's “Segn El-Nisaa”, and 2012's “Rakam Maghol”.
