Star Tamer Farag asserted that if society promotes the perception of the beauty and value of women, we will not find cases of harassment or rape.

"Societal beauty norms prevents harassment and rape," Farag said, adding that external beauty actually improves our perception of beauty, forcing people to become graceful and ideal.

He added in a special statement to to Sada el-Balad English (See) during the Miss Egypt dress prime that he was impressed by what he saw in the beauty pageant.

"I was expecting the teenage contestants to win over the older ones, as in the case at the talent prime, yet, the Miss Egypt contestants made great progress," he pointed out.

Farag explained that beauty queens prepared for competition by designing customs from the fifties, sixties and seventies, and studying the difference between them and what they symbolize from the culture of this era.

The talented actor noted, "The girls put a tremendous effort into studying the difference between dresses from different eras. They didn't just copy customs patterns from old films and design them. They knew the difference, which could have been confusing."

As for the benefit of the competition, Farag said that it highlights the value of beauty in the face of the ugliness that has become prevalent in society.

Farag emphasized that beauty pageants teach young girls how to be independent, enhance their talents and abilities, and give them self-confidence.

"We are not looking for a single winner at the end of the competition, but we are seeking a win-win situation for all the girls. A girl who came on stage and present her self, put forth what she got from talent and good energy is a real winner," Farag said.

He pointed out that beauty pageants are not only about external beauty, but about a bigger purpose, designed for inner beauty.

It is worth mentioning that the event was hosted by the beautiful Reem Rafat, Miss Egypt 2018, and the contest's jury includes Amaal Rezk, president of the competition, actors Tamer Farag, and Reem El-Baroudy, stylist Reham Assem, fashion designer Ahmed Moghazy, as well as Miss Egypt 2019 Alaa Atef and Miss Eco 2019 Basma Dawood.
