Star Reem El-Baroudy joined the jury of the Miss Egypt 2020 contest, in her second appearance in the competition, where she participated two years ago in the beauty pageant.

El-Baroudy said in exclusive statements to Sada el-Balad English (See) that she is pleased to join the competition as a jury, who will choose the girl that will represent Egypt in front of the whole world.

She added that she felt in the fifties and sixties during the prime ceremony, noting that the dresses represent the golden age of Egyptian cinema.

She said, "I loved the dresses, and loved all the actors from this era. Each of them, whether dead or alive, had their own style, their own attitude and their own school of acting."

Regarding her role model, she indicated that every actor, who is respectable, honorable , with a good reputation and a career in acting is my role model.

El-Baroudy explained that she did not play any historical role, but she wants to portray historical figures such as Cleopatra and Nefertiti, and yet it needs a lot of practice and the most difficult performance.

"After the success of "Qeed 3aely" series, I feel a bigger responsibility towards my audience," she pointed out.

El-Baroudy explained that the secret to staying fit is maintaining a normal diet, especially if she has an event or stars at a series, and promises to exercise soon, to look better in public appearances.

"I received a good offer to host a program on one of the TV channels. It is natural at the present time for actors to host programs if they are well known in Egypt or the Arab world," referring to her program, "Aqareb Al Sa3a".

"My charming prince will be tall, with a sweet smile, dimpled cheeks, cuddly, and of good character," she said.

El-Baroudy's unique orange dress was designed by Ahmed Abdullah, her makeup by Nourhan Omar, and jewelry from Glamor.

As for her back tattoo, it was recreated with Shenouda's tattoos, she said, indicating that she had an an older one, and replaced it with an ornate line, on which wrote, "She was like the moon, a part of her was always away."

It is worth noting that the “Miss Egypt” jury includes Amaal Rezk, president of the competition, artists El-Baroudy, Tamer Farag, stylist Reham Assem, and fashion designer Ahmed Moghazy, as well as Miss Egypt 2019 Alaa Atef.
