Egyptian superstar Tamer Ashour and CBC TV anchor Nancy Nour signed Tuesday the ‘Aqd Qiran’ in a ceremony attended by many celebrities, public figures, family, and friends.

Aqd Qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.

Among the guests were prominent TV host Mona El-Shazly, the brides' co-workers at Extra News, Ramy Gamal and his wife as well as Angham, Moustafa Hagag, Aziz Al-Shafi’i, and Mohamed Osama, famously known as "Osos".

Ashour paid a sweet tribute to his wife with the song "Khaleeny Fi Hodnak".

The singer also took to social media to share photos from their special day, saying: "Praise is to Allah by Whose grace good deeds are completed. We signed the Aqd Qiran."

The romantic relationship came as a big surprise to the public especially since Ashour did not reveal the existence of a romantic connection between them.
