The Syndicate of Journalists’ Tourism and Antiquities Division, in cooperation with the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage, will host the world-renowned Egyptologist and former Minister of Antiquities, Dr. Zahi Hawass. He will deliver a major lecture titled: "The Campaign to Repatriate Smuggled Egyptian Antiquities: Between the Dream of Return and Boosting Tourism." The event is scheduled for next Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and will take place in the Mohamed Hassanein Heikal Hall on the fourth floor of the Syndicate of Journalists' headquarters on Abdel Khalek Sarwat Street, Cairo.

The Division extends its invitation to researchers, cultural heritage enthusiasts, and several tourism and antiquities officials. The Syndicate will open the floor for an open discussion and a Q&A session for the attendees.

Ahmed Osman, Head of the Tourism and Antiquities Division at the Syndicate of Journalists, stated that this lecture marks the launch of the division's cultural activities. He emphasized that it falls within the Syndicate's awareness-raising role to preserve Egyptian identity and support ongoing efforts to reclaim the nation's looted heritage.
