Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) selected Sudan as the 10th edition's guest of honor to celebrate the history of the Sudanese cinema.

Five Sudanese films will be screened at LAFF including features, and documentaries that observe the progression of Sudanese cinema.

Moreover, the edition will pay a tribute to influential Sudanese leader Al Sadek El Mahdi.

"You Will Die at 20" is one of the displayed films directed by Amjab Abu Alala, and written by Abu Alala and Youssef Ibrahim.

On the other hand, several Sudanese artists were chosen at the official competition juries such as Talal Afifi, alongside a huge Sudanese delegation from artists and filmmakers.

Last week, Luxor African Film Festival revealed the new poster of the 10th edition.

The poster depicted the harmony between ancient Egyptian civilization, the Nile, and African youth. It portrayed a young African man sailing in the Nile by a small boat to Luxor.

Mahmoud Ismail, the poster’s designer noted that the artwork reflected two concepts. The first targeted attracting the people visually through using colors symbolizing the African Identity.
