Stranger Things Jospeh Quinn Meets Metal Icons Metallica

After the great success of performing Metallica's "Master of Puppets" at Stranger Things, Joseph Quinn fulfilled his character dreams and met metal icons Metallica in person, the Independent reported on Saturday.

The actor played Eddie Munson who turned out to be a fan-favourite character in "Stranger Things" and his music taste attracted several fans to metal music.

Munson appeared in one of the scenes while holding a guitar and performing "Master of Puppets." The scene became one of the most trending tv show scenes of all time.

Metallica's frontman James Hetfield said: "I'm a big fan of [the show], have been since season one,” adding: “My kids and I, it's been a bonding experience for us."

On his side, Quinn thanked the band for allowing the show to use their song.

Shortly, the actor joined the band in a jam session, and Metallica's drummer Lars Ulrich joked saying: “We'd like to make an announcement: Metallica is now a five-piece, guys!” pointing out to Quinn's presence.

Metallica’s top hit “Master of Puppets” was streamed during the latest episode of the global successful Netflix new season of “Stranger Things.” Therefore, the series directed a new fanbase to the 40-year band.

The Metal legends, Metallica, posted: “Everyone is welcome in the Metallica family. Whether you’ve been a fan for 40 hours or 40 years, we all share a bond through music,” adding: “All of you started at ground zero at one point in time.”

The Metal icons received strong interaction on the “Master of Puppets” live video that was taken from a recent concert by the band.
