"Stranger Things 5" First Five Minutes Unveiled

The first five minutes of the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” have been unveiled.

After the Season 5 premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday, Netflix surprised viewers with the clip on YouTube, which takes them all the way back to the beginning of the series after the 1983 disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp).

Titled “The Crawl,” the first episode opens with a young Will in the Upside Down, trying to calm himself down by softly singing the Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go.”

Suddenly, a Demogorgon attacks, chasing Will up a tree and leading to a gnarly fall.

Knocked unconscious, Will is then dragged by the Demogorgon to the lair of Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

Wrapping Will up in his vines with one over his mouth, Vecna creepily say: “At long last, we can begin. You and I, we are going to do such beautiful things together.”

Volume 1 of “Stranger Things” Season 5 is set to drop on November 26, with Volume 2 debuting on December 25. The series finale will premiere on December 31.

“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna,” the synopsis for Season 5 reads. “But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
