Matthew Lillard, Harvey Guillén, and more have joined the film adaptation of Stephen King's "The Life of Chuck".

“I’m pleased to announce the rest of our ensemble who join Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan and Jacob Tremblay to the production which kicked off in Alabama under an interim agreement earlier this month,” Mike Flanagan wrote on X/Twitter.

Along with Lillard and Guillén, newcomers include Kate Siegel, Mia Sara, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Q’Orianka Kilcher, Benjamin Pajak, Antonio Raul Corbo, David Dastmalchian, Carl Lumbly, Annalise Basso, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kholi, Matt Biedel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Michael Trucco, Violet McGraw, Molly C. Quinn, Heather Langenkamp, and Taylor Gordon in her acting debut.

“‘The Life of Chuck’ is a very personal story for me, and a movie I am so grateful will be in the world,” Flanagan continued.

Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill lead the ensemble of the pic with "Doctor Sleep" and "The Haunting Of Hill House" helmer Flanagan also scripting and producing for Intrepid Pictures alongside fellow producer Trevor Macy.

Based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology "If It Bleeds", "The Life of Chuck" is three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumor at 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.

“The Life of Chuck” marks Flanagan’s third adaptation of King’s work, following 2017’s “Gerald’s Game” and 2019’s “Doctor Sleep.”

WME Independent is repping domestic sales, with FilmNation Entertainment overseeing the international front.

Also involved is QWGmire, the production and financing entity known for the indie horror Agnes and the forthcoming Lovely, Dark and Deep, which has made a major equity investment in the independently financed feature.

“The Life of Chuck” was granted a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement, which allows the actors to work on the film amid the ongoing strike. In order to obtain an interim agreement, a producer must operate independently from companies belonging to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and agree to terms proposed by SAG-AFTRA in its negotiations with the AMPTP.
