Disney Plus has released a special trailer to mark Star Wars Day, May the 4th, and celebrate the legacy of the franchise that exists in a galaxy far, far away.
The viewers were given glimpses of heroes like Luke Skywalker, Din Djarin, Ahsoka Tano, Rey, Han Solo, and Princess Leia. It also featured footage from TV shows like "Ahsoka", "The Mandalorian", "Rebels", and films like "A New Hope", "Rogue One", and "The Rise of Skywalker".
Moreover, there was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of English actor Jude Law's "Star Wars: Skeleton Crew".
The Star Wars spinoff series was announced in May 2022 during a Star Wars convention in Anaheim celebrating the saga created by George Lucas.
"Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" has been described as a 1980s-style coming-of-age adventure. It was developed by the latest Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts and writer Christopher Ford.
The series is set to take place in the same timeline as "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett". It is set in the New Republic era and revolves around a group of ten-year-olds who get lost in the Star Wars universe.”
Executive producer Jon Watts, who successfully oversaw the Spider-Man trilogy for Sony and Marvel, will direct episodes as well as oversee the series.
He will be accompanied by a top tier of directing talent, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, Daniels, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.
Watts, Jon Favreau, Filoni, and Christoper Fordare also attached executive producers of the series.
"Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" is set to premiere later this year on the streaming platform.
