Sony Pictures unveiled Saturday the official title and first look at the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse“.

The footage unveiled that movie's title as "Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One)", which implies that the sequel will be a two-part installation.

Sony also released the first photos from the movie, which included three new photos and a title card.

The sequel will follow Miles Morales, (voiced by Shameik Moore), the protagonist of the original movie as he groups up with Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac), “Spider-Man 2099”, and Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) to face off with a powerful super-villain.

Issa Rae was also confirmed for a voice role back in June.

Alonzo Ruvalcaba is set to co-produce along with the producers of the first movie Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg.

Moreover, Lord and Miller will serve as writers on the movie along with David Callaham.

"Spider-Verse" director Peter Ramsey is also returning as an executive producer alongside Aditya Sood.

The first part of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is set to hit theaters on October 7, 2022.
