On Wednesday, Sphinx International Airport welcomed its first EasyJet flight from London's Gatwick Airport, carrying 148 passengers.
Upon arrival, the airport authorities followed the standard international procedure of spraying water to greet the plane. The airport's public relations department welcomed the passengers and assisted them with their arrival procedures. The tourists were greeted by a delegation from the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion with flowers, souvenirs, and information about Egypt's tourist destinations. The delegation highlighted the country's rich cultural heritage, archaeological sites, and various tourist activities.
EasyJet is scheduled to operate three regular flights per week from Sphinx International Airport to London. On the other hand, Wizz Air will operate three flights per week from London to Sphinx International Airport.
