"Souq El Kanto" Character Posters Unveiled

A series of character posters from Egyptian actor Amir Karara's TV series "Souq El Kanto" (El Kanto Market) has been unveiled.

The cast also includes Abdelaziz Makhyoun, Kamal Abu Rayya, Mai Ezz El Din, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmed Salah Hosny, Maha Nassar, Mahmoud El-Bezzawy, Sherine, Tharaa Goubail, Salwa Osman, and others.

The series is scripted by Hussein El Menbawy, directed by Hani Sarhan, and produced by Synergy production company.

"Souq El Kanto" is set to screen in Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.

Karara participated last Ramadan with the hit TV series “Al Aedoon”.

It also starred Amina Khalil, Mahmoud Abdel Moghni, Mohamed Farrag, Jihane Khalil, Eslam Gamal, Mohamed Ezz, and others.

The series is written by Hala Khalil and directed by Amr Arafa.

The plot revolved around Egyptian intelligence confronting ISIS as well as highlights the roles of intelligence workers, including officers, communication experts, and secret agents, in protecting the homeland and eliminating terrorism.

Karara, born on October 10, 1977, is an Egyptian actor and broadcaster. He has a degree in tourism from Cairo University.

He rose to fame through hosting television contest shows like “Star Maker” and “The Deal”.

Moreover, he played in the national volleyball team, in a lot of national and international games.

Karara is known for his roles in TV series “Shabab Al Hawa” (Guys online), and “Lahazat Hariga” (The Egyptian version of ER), “Taraf Talit” (Third Party) “Taht El Ard” (Underground), “kalabsh” trilogy, and “El Ekhteyar” (The Choice).
