Netflix has greenlit a new horror series that has “Stranger Things” creators, the Duffer brothers among its executive producers.

The series is currently titled “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” and hails from writer Haley Z. Boston.

The official logline describes the series as “an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That’s not a spoiler – just read the title…”.

Boston created the series and also serves as executive producer and showrunner.

The Duffers and Hilary Leavitt executive produce via Upside Down Pictures. Andrea Sperling also executive produces. Both Sperling and Upside Down are under overall deals at Netflix.

News of the adaptation comes one day after Netflix unveiled a first look at the final season of “Stranger Things.”

Production on the last run of the megahit series is roughly halfway done.

No premiere date has been set, but the season is expected to drop in 2025.

Also under their overall deal, the Duffers are prepping the series “The Boroughs” to begin production in the fall, while they are also developing multiple other projects.

Those include a “Stranger Things” spinoff and a live-action adaptation of “Death Note.”
