Soheir Ramzy to Participate in Ramadan 2023 Drama Marathon

Veteran Egyptian actress Soheir Ramzy will participate in the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon with the TV Series "Um El Banat".

It also stars Nasser Seif, Feriel Youssef, Mohamed Abdel Gawad, Hanan Suliman, Hanan Youssef, Yasser Ali Maher, Ayman Azab, Madline Tabar, and others.

The series is scripted by Ahmed Sobhy and directed by Abdel Aziz Hashad.

"Um El Banat" is centered around the life of a low social class family, consisting of a mother and five daughters.

The project witnesses Ramzy's comeback to the drama marathon after a long absence.

Ramzy, born on March 3, 1950, made her acting debut in the 1956 film "Saheefet El Sawabeq" at the age of six years old. 

Later on, she first worked as an air hostess and a fashion model then returned to acting in the late 1960s. 

Ramzy is best known for her roles in films such as "Miramar" (1969), "Meen Yeader Ala Aziza" (1975), "Bent Ismaha Mahmoud" (1975), and "Allam Eyal Eyal" (1976). 

She retired from acting and wore the hijab in 1993 and made her acting comeback with the 2006 TV series "Habib Elrouh".
