President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will pay an official visit to France today, Sunday, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Rady said that the visit comes within the framework of the two sides ’keenness to develop the strategic relations between Cairo and Paris.
“Both leaders are expected to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations during the coming period,” he added.
Sisi and Macron will hold a summit on Monday so as to address all aspects and issues of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as joint political coordination towards regional and international issues.
During the visit, Sisi will meet with French statesmen and officials such as Prime Minister, a number of ministers and the Presidents of the National Assembly and the French Senate.
“These meetings aim to present the Egyptian vision of regional crises and how to deal with them, especially those related to the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East region,” the spokesman noted.
The visit will tackle also increasing joint cooperation between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the investment and commercial fields, in light of Egypt's efforts to encourage and attract foreign investments to participate in major national projects within the framework of the comprehensive development process that Egypt is witnessing.
