Sisi Thanks SCA Workers for Ending 'Ever Given' Crisis

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed on Tuesday that the Suez Canal is 'capable, enduring and competitive.'

 

Moreover, Sisi thanked Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Head, Osama Rabie and workers for their efforts to end the crisis of aground vessel EVER GIVEN ship.

 

The president also praised Egyptians' love for their country, noting that this crisis reflected their patriotism.

 

"Despite the harsh conditions during the last period, the Egyptians have always stood by their country and Leadership," Sisi stressed.

 

Earlier today, Sisi visited the SCA, according to Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.

 

The president also inspected the Authority’s Maritime Training and Simulation Center in Ismailia.

 

On Monday, Sisi saluted Egyptians on Monday after the Panamanian container ship had been successfully refloated in the Suez Canal.

 

“Today, the Egyptians have succeeded in ending the crisis of the stranded ship in the Suez Canal despite the enormous technical complexity that surrounded this process from every side,” Sisi tweeted.

 

He added that the Egyptians assured the entire world that the waterway of global goods and commodities is safe and the situation is normal at the moment at the Canal.

 

Moreover, he noted that “the Egyptians have proven that they are always responsible, and that the Canal, their ancestors dug and defended, will continue to witness that the will of the Egyptian always goes where the Egyptians decide.”

 

Osama Rabie, head of Suez canal Authority (SCA) announced on Monday the success of the efforts made to re-float the stranded container vessel that had been blocking the Suez Canal for about a week.

 

In a statement, he added that the traffic in Suez canal has been resumed to normal.
