President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will receive Thursday President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló at Ettahadiya Palace eastern Cairo, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

On Feb. 20, Sisi received a phone call from Embaló who asserted during the phone call his country’s keenness to deepen bilateral ties between both brotherly nations in different fields.

President Embaló further confirmed Guinea Bissau’s great appreciation to Egypt’s pioneering role in the African continent in meeting its peoples’ aspirations for development and prosperity.

This is particularly manifested in Egypt’s effective contribution in advancing the joint African action, particularly boosting intra-African trade and investment and maintaining continental peace and security.

For his part, Sisi praised the historical bilateral relations between both countries, confirming Egypt’s support to Guinea-Bissau across all fields in order to meet the aspirations of the brotherly nation towards development and prosperity.
