Sisi: Palestinian Cause "Constant" in Egyptian Policy

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received, Saturday, Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Expatriates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon, and Riad Malki, Foreign Minister of the State of Palestine to discuss the Palestinian issue.

Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting.

Sisi affirmed that Egypt will continue its utmost efforts towards the Palestinian issue, as it is one of the constants in the Egyptian policy, stressing to continue exerting efforts to make sure that the Palestinian people had their legitimate rights back, establishing their independent state, according to international legitimacy.

Sisi pointed out that he had taken into consideration the changes on the regional and international arenas during the recent period, and the importance of uniting Arab and international efforts to move effectively during the coming period, for the sake of reactivating the mechanisms, involved in the peace negotiations between the two parties.

On their side, Malki and Safadi expressed their appreciation for Egypt's relentless efforts and endeavors in supporting the Palestinian cause.

They also hailed Egypt's historic role in this regard, as well as its stability and continuity with the aim of reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.

At the end of the meeting, Sisi requested the envoys to convey his greetings to his two brothers, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Bassam Rady, said that the meeting discussed developments in the efforts to reactive the process of peace and negotiation, regarding the Palestinian issue.

Rady added that the meeting witnessed consensus on continuing intensive consultations and coordination between all parties on various issues related to the Palestinian issue, especially with regard to returning to the track of bilateral negotiations, as well as following up on the next steps in terms of unifying the Palestinian ranks.
