Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Egyptians and the whole Arab world in the occasion of the anniversary of the Birthday of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), praising the conduct and traits of the great Prophet.
Addressing “Al Mawlid Al Nabawi” ceremony organized by Awqaf ministry, Sisi said that this sacred memory drives us to reflect on the essence and message of the Holy Prophet.
He pointed out that hardships endured by the Holy Prophet give us a lot of lessons that must be learned and teach us patience to face the difficulties through uninterrupted hard work.
Moreover, Egypt’s head of state has stressed that organized and continuous work approach will ultimately triumph in the end.
“The state is seeking to achieve a qualitative leap in development and progress at all levels,” Sisi said.
He also confirmed that extremism, terrorism, as well as physical and moral destruction, would not be able to prevent people from moving towards a better future.
In addition, Sisi revealed that he did not intend to run for president in 2014, adding that he repeatedly asked former acting President of Egypt Adly Mansour to apply for the post, but the latter refused.

This landmark event was attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayyeb, Grand Imam Shawqi Allam, in addition to a galaxy of prominent scholars, imams, and Arab ambassadors.
Honorees
During the ceremony, Sisi honored a galaxy of religious, administrative and preaching leaderships at the ministry as well as a number of Arab, Africa scholars who enriched the Islamic world with their moderate ideologies.
Al-Mawlid Al Nabawi al-Sharif
Al-Mawlid Al Nabawi al-Sharif is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Mohammad which is commemorated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
It falls this year on November 9. The Prophet’s birthday is a remarkable holiday widely celebrated across Egypt and the whole Islamic world.
