Sisi to Partake in “Al-Mawlid Al Nabawi” Ceremony

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will participate tomorrow Thursday in “Al Mawlid Al Nabawi” (Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday) ceremony, organized by Awqaf Ministry.

On this occasion, President Sisi is set to address the nation on the current issues and the lessons learned from Prophet Mohammad's biography.

This landmark event will be attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayyeb, Grand Imam Shawqi Allam, in addition to a galaxy of prominent scholars, imams, and Arab ambassadors.

Moreover, it is scheduled that Egypt’s head of state will honor a galaxy of religious, administrative and preaching leaderships at the ministry and young scholars who enriched the Islamic world with their moderate ideologies.

It is worthy to note that, Sisi inaugurated on Tuesday a number of new economic development projects in Suez and South Sinai via a video conference.

The projects include the Suez steel company, the sumed maritime quay, a marble factory complex in south Sinai, and the iron rolling factory 3.

Al-Mawlid Al Nabawi al-Sharif is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Mohammad which is commemorated in Rabi' al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.

It falls this year on November 9. The Prophet’s birthday is a remarkable holiday widely celebrated across Egypt and the whole Islamic world.
