Sisi Calls For Completing Plasma Derivatives Self-Sufficiency Project

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Monday with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Health and Population Dr. Hala Zayed in order to discuss a number of national projects, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady. 

“During the meeting, the president was briefed about the general framework of the national project for self-sufficiency of plasma derivatives,” added Rady. 

The meeting was attended also by Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Urban Planning, Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj Eddin, Advisor to the President for Health and Prevention Affairs, Major General Doctor Bahaa Al-Din Zaidan, Chairman of the Unified Procurement Authority, Major General Doctor Mostafa Abou Hatab, Director of the International Medical Center, and Major General Doctor Magdi Amin Mubarak, Director of the Medical Services Department of the Armed Forces.

The spokesman stated that the meeting touched on steps that were taken in this context to identify relevant international experience and field visits to plasma collection and manufacturing centers with international partners with expertise and technology developed in all aspects of this field.

“The president asked officials to complete all scientific and technical aspects of the project in order to establish it in an optimal manner according to the highest and international standards,” Rady noted.

Moreover, President Sisi called for the participation of the most distinguished international expertise, with the aim of possessing the ability in this important field, while setting up an effective mechanism to ensure the achievement of the highest levels of quality.
