President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his wife, First Lady Entissar Amer, wished Egyptians a happy Christmas on Wednesday.
“I wish a Merry Christmas Day to all Egyptians. Egypt is a castle for patriotism and its people always and forever enjoy unique principles of coexistence between different faiths and religions,” Sisi tweeted.
“Merry Christmas to everyone… Long Live Egypt,” he added.
On her part, Entissar extended her “warmest greetings to the Egyptian people on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas Day.”
Egyptian Copts will celebrate Christmas Day tomorrow, Thursday, according to the Egyptian Church.
