As part of the Ministry of Culture's mission to promote cultural and artistic endeavors and nurture talented creators, the Cultural Development Fund, led by architect Hamdi El-Satouhi, in collaboration with the Fine Arts Sector under Dr. Walid Qanoush, will host the "Basma" exhibition at the Creativity Center of Prince Taz Palace in Al-Khalifa district. The event will open at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 27, and continue until Wednesday, January 29.
The "Basma" exhibition is a cultural and artistic event featuring 56 artists. The opening ceremony will welcome special guests, including Prof. Dr. Samar Saeed, Dean of the Higher Institute of Folk Arts; visual artist Omaima El-Sisi; and Dr. Khaled Saleh, lecturer at Cairo University and expert in intangible cultural heritage, who will present a seminar titled "Visual Arts and Heritage."
Moreover, Prof. Dr. Iman Younis, Dean of the Higher Institute of Cinema, will attend to honor the late artist Shadi Abdel Salam.
On the second day, January 28, in collaboration with the Talaat Harb Cultural Center (part of the Cultural Development Fund), a seminar titled "Art and Life" will be conducted by Prof. Dr. Murad Darwish. The session will run from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The exhibition will conclude on January 29 with a charcoal drawing workshop led by artist Islam Atiya. The workshop will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
