Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received Sunday the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean Yves Le Drian, at Tahrir Palace in Cairo, according to Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.
“Shoukry and Le Drian held official talks to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries; Egypt and France,” said Hafez.
He noted that the two officials have tackled developments and challenges on the regional and international arenas.
Le Drian is expected to meet with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyib later this day.
