Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel‑Wahab was transferred to a hospital in Cairo on Saturday after suffering a sudden health issue shortly after breaking her fast, prompting doctors to recommend an urgent gallbladder surgery.

According to medical sources cited in local reports, the singer experienced severe pain immediately after eating, which required her to be rushed to a hospital for immediate medical attention.

Upon arrival, doctors conducted a series of examinations and determined that she may need a gallbladder operation as soon as possible to stabilize her condition.

The health scare comes shortly after Sherine had resumed limited interaction with her fans on social media following a period of absence.

In her most recent appearance on Instagram, the singer shared a short video clip accompanied by music from her well-known song “Asal Hayati”, without adding any written caption.

Many followers interpreted the post as a silent, emotional message reflecting nostalgia and a desire to reconnect with her audience.

The song features sentimental lyrics expressing deep affection and longing, which fans believe may carry personal significance for the artist.

The video quickly drew wide engagement from fans, with many suggesting that the choice of “Asal Hayati” was deliberate, as it remains one of Sherine’s most memorable songs and is closely tied to key moments in her artistic career.

Some followers also viewed the post as a sign of emotional reconciliation or a reflection of longing for earlier phases of her life, particularly after the singer’s recent period away from direct engagement with fans on digital platforms.

Abdel Wahab is one of the Arab world’s most prominent pop stars, known for a career spanning more than two decades and a catalog of hit songs that have earned her a large following across the Middle East.
