Mr. Sherif Fathy, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, officially opened the Egyptian pavilion today at the 60th edition of ITB Berlin 2026. The inauguration took place in the presence of Dr. Mohamed El-Badri, Egypt’s Ambassador to Berlin, and key officials from the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA).

Key Highlights:

A Message of Confidence: The Minister reaffirmed that Egypt remains a safe and stable destination, noting that there are no significant cancellations in tourist bookings, with only very limited exceptions reported.

Strong Growth: Fathy revealed that the German market achieved a remarkable 11.4% growth in 2025, cementing its position as the second-largest source market for tourism to Egypt.

A Massive Presence: Egypt is participating with a 1,500 m² pavilion featuring 111 exhibitors, including travel agencies, hotels, and airlines. Highlights include the modernization of the Giza Zoo and the participation of Al Ahly SC.
