The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Khaled Dagher concluded the Ramadan Nights program on April 16, with the Sheik Yassin Tuhamy concert.

The concert featured different genres of Upper Egypt folk art and a number of spiritual works that dazzled the Muslim audience.

Born in Assiut in 1949, he enrolled at Al-Azhar schools and has performed in big Islamic Mawlid (birthday) events over the past several decades, building fame in Egypt as well across Arab and Islamic countries.

Tuhamy is regarded as the father of Egyptian chanter, and his Islamic songs are some of the country’s most-listened-to music, especially among fans in Upper Egypt.

Throughout his career, he has given various concerts in different countries including England, France, and India.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Opera House held several performances in cooperation with the embassies of different countries to strengthen relations and celebrate the holy month of Ramadan in Egypt. It also hosted a series of events and performances, including concerts for Ali El-Haggar, Medhat Saleh, and others.
