Production wrapped on the DC movie "Shazam! Fury of the Gods", the sequel to 2019's "Shazam!".

Swedish filmmaker David F. Sandberg, the director of the movie, announced Monday the news on Twitter along with sharing a new behind-the-scenes photo of the movie.

The photo featured lead actor Zachary Levi in his new Shazam costume and landing down in an arena while he holds the magical staff that granted him and his family their powers in the first part.

It also showed a lightning bolt flashing behind him.

“Finished! Now for a little time off. See you in theaters in March!” Sandberg captioned.

"Shazam 2" will see Billy Batson aka Shazam go up against the villainous demi-gods Hespera and Kalypso the daughters of the goddess Atlas, played by Helen Mirran and Lucy Liu.

"West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler will also be playing Atlas’ younger daughter Anthea in the upcoming sequel.

When Shazam! was released in 2019, it was a breath of fresh air for the DCEU. It was hilarious, action-packed, had great performances, and was all tied together with a tremendous amount of heart and the warm themes of family.

"Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is hitting theaters on March 17, 2023.
