Warner Bros. has announced that DC Studios’ “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” will become available for purchase on digital platforms on April 7.

It is slated to be released on physical media 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 23.

The movie sees Billy Batson aka Shazam go up against the villainous demi-gods Hespera and Kalypso the daughters of the Greek god Atlas, played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu.

"West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler will also be playing Atlas’ younger daughter Anthea in the sequel.

The sequel to 2019’s “Shazam!” takes place a few years after the first movie. It depicts Billy struggling to balance his regular life with his superhero duties, even more since he must act as the responsible leader of his super-family.

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” also puts a bigger spotlight on Batson’s foster siblings, who all have superhero powers and operate together as the “Shazamily” based out of Philadelphia.

Djimon Hounsou also reprises his role as the wizard Shazam, the last surviving member of the Council of Wizards who bestowed his powers on Batson.

The filmmaking team from the original “Shazam” returns for the sequel, which includes David F. Sandberg directing from a screenplay by Henry Gayden, with Peter Safran producing.

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” runtime is set to clock in at 2 hours and 10 minutes, just two minutes shorter than its predecessor.
