Egyptian band Sharmoofers released Wednesday a new song titled “Hal ?” in solidarity with Palestine amid the ongoing Israel aggression in Gaza.
The song sheds light on the humanitarian disasters occurring in the Palestinian territories and highlights the suffering and challenges the people of the Gaza Strip are exposed to from the Israeli army.
“Hal ?” also affirms the band's solidarity with Palestinians and expresses their sadness about the continuing war that keeps on claiming the lives of hundreds every day.
On October 7, Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.
It said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers. The Israeli military then launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in more than 20,400 Palestinians killed, with more than two-thirds of the martyrs being women and children, according to Palestinian health authorities. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes to escape the violence.
The figure stands at more than 1,400 people in Israel.
