Lebanese-Colombian superstar Shakira's upcoming concerts in Qatar and the UAE have been postponed due to the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran war, which has spilled out into the entire Gulf region and beyond.
The pop star was set to perform a one‑night‑only show at Stadium 974 in Doha on April 1 as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The concert no longer appears on Shakira’s official tour website, and the ticketing page is currently showing an error message.
Moreover, Abu Dhabi's Offlimits Music Festival, which was due to be headlined by Shakira and the Jonas Brothers on April 4, has been postponed until November.
Tension in the Middle East, including in Qatar and UAE, have escalated after the U.S. and Israel launched a joint war against Iran on February 28.
More than 2,000 people have been killed across the Middle East as the war continues its fourth week. In Iran, Israeli and American strikes have killed more than 1,200 people, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
At least 1,000 people have been killed in Lebanon, and 17 have died in Israel. Thirteen U.S. service members have been killed, and two more died of noncombat causes.
