Early Monday, world famed star Shakira will perform in the half time of the Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia.
Her performance is expected to extend the half-time break to 20 minutes rather than the usual 15 with the performance.
It is not the first time for Shakira to be featured in a football event. In 2010, her "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" used as the official song for the 2010 World Cup.
She also performed at that World Cup in South Africa.
Alejandro Dominguez, president of CONMEBOL said: “Shakira is an extraordinary South American star who has dazzled the entire world."
“Her songs are sung and danced to in every corner of the planet, turning her art into a global phenomenon that crosses borders and is enjoyed by millions of people.
“We are confident that her performance on the stage of the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024 will reinforce the message of healthy passion and unity through sport.”
