Colombian singer Shakira broke up with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique after catching the latter in bed with another woman, media reports announced on Thursday.
The couple has been living separately for a few weeks after the pop star kicked Pique out of the family home, Spanish outlet El Periodico reported, noting that the footballer is having a great time on his own and living a "party lifestyle" since the break-up.
Other media reports claimed that Pique has been frequenting nightclubs with team-mate Riqui Puig and his group of friends, often returning home as late as two or three in the morning.
A reporter asked the footballer if he did cheat on Shakira but the latter did not comment and walked away.

El Periodico journalist Emilio Pérez de Rozas noted that he's confident that the couple will split.
"(Shakira) has made the decision to separate. That is so. It has happened. That is why there is distance. Perhaps there is nothing left, but that (infidelity) has passed," he said during a live video stream of the podcast Mamarazzis earlier this week.
Shakira and Pique have been together since 2011 when they met on the set of the singer-songwriter's music video for her single 'Waka Waka' ahead of the 2010 World Cup. They are blessed with two children together.
In one of their previous interviews, the singer commented on marriage and said:"I don't want him to see me as his law-wife. I want him to see me as his girlfiend or lover."

Last week, a Spanish court dismissed an appeal from the “Hips Don’t Lie” crooner as it saw “sufficient evidence” to send her to stand trial over alleged tax fraud.
Prosecutors claimed that she failed to pay up to 14.5 million euros ($15.54 million) in tax on income earned between 2012 and 2014.
