Security Council to Discuss Yemen, Syria, Palestinian-Israeli Conflict This Month

Dang Ding Quy, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, who chairs the UN Security Council this month, announced that the council will hold sessions on Syria, Yemen and the settlement in the Middle East this month, according to RT.

On Thursday, Ding Quy said: "This month, there will be 25 meetings, including a number of open sessions. The first discussions will take place on April 8th, and they will be about mine clearance."

On April 22, a discussion on the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will take place with the participation of representatives of Israel and Palestine.

The diplomat added that the council will discuss the destruction of Syrian chemical weapons on April 6, and a political settlement in Syria on April 28.

The conflict in Yemen will also be discussed on April 15th.

On the situation in Myanmar, the Vietnamese diplomat said that the Security Council is following it with interest, and there will be a session on this subject on April 9th.
