Egyptian Screenwriter Tamer Habib tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday, two days after attending actress Elham Shahin's birthday party.
"Positive Corona," Habib wrote on Instagram. Many celebrities commented on the post, wishing him a speedy recovery.
Last Monday, Egyptian actress, Hannah El Zahed and her husband actor, Ahmed Fahmy, tested positive for COVID-19.
“Ahmed and I have tested positive for Coronavirus. Requesting everyone who came in contact with us to get tested immediately,” El Zahed wrote on Facebook.
On Wednesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 803 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total up to 389,454.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,863 nationwide after the ministry announced 27 deaths.
About 912 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 323,913.
