Renowned Egyptian actress, Sawsan Badr is preparing for a new TV series, which she plans to participate in during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Badr will also participate in the Ramadan drama marathon with the TV series "Amir El Awamry" and season 2 of the star-studded Saidi drama "Qala’ Al-Ḥijr".
Born on September 25, 1957, Badr, real name Suzan Abu Taleb, is an Egyptian film, stage, and television actress.
She graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1979, after discontinuing her studies in the faculty of science.
Badr appeared in many theater productions, including “Al Wad Sayyid Al Shaghal.”
She got her start in the 1980 film British film “Mot Amira” (Death of a Princess) by British director Antony Thomas.
The actress delivered a memorable performance in her second role in the 1980 film “Habibi Da’iman” (Always My Love) directed by Hussein Kamel.
Badr won the Best Actress Award for the play “Al Ard La Tanbit Al Zuhur”, and for her role in the TV series “Dawlat Fahmy” as well as many international awards for her role in “Al Dawair Al Mughlaqa” in 2001.
She received the Best Actress Award at the 34th Cairo International Film Festival.
Badr was cast to play Nefertiti in Shady Abdel Salaam’s film about Akhnaton, though the great director passed away before finishing the movie.
