Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and US President Donald Trump emphasized, over phone, the importance of maritime security and shipping lanes, as well as supporting all efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the call reviewed current developments in the region, including ongoing talks between the United States and Iran.
The two leaders also discussed a number of regional and international issues, exchanging views on them. Additionally, both sides reviewed joint cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them across various fields.
Talks Between Saudi and US Foreign Ministers
In a separate development, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, held a phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss the latest regional developments and current situations, alongside ways to strengthen coordination and consultation between the two nations.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a briefing today, Saturday, that both sides underscored the importance of continuing joint coordination and consultation to contribute to supporting peace and stability in the region.
