On Friday, Saudi Arabia and Qatar held their first official meeting following the signing of Al-Ula agreement on January 5.
Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations (UN) met his Qatari counterpart Alya bint Ahmed Al Thani in New York.
They discussed ways to boost bilateral ties, as well as enhancing cooperation and consultations between both countries regarding various issues of common interests.
It is worth mentioning that, Al-Ula agreement for Arab reconciliation with Qatar was signed on January 5, which ended a political dispute that broke out in mid-2017.
Since June 2017, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain, had cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of interfering in their internal affairs and supporting terrorist groups, charges denied by Qatar.
