Saudi Arabia denounced the attack on the governor of Yemen's Aden and the country's agricultural minister's vehicle.

According to the information minister on Twitter, a vehicle bomb targeting the governor's convoy rattled the southern port city of Aden on Sunday, killing at least six people and wounded seven more.

Governor Ahmed Lamlas and minister Salem al-Suqatri survived a “terrorist assassination attempt”, the state news agency said.

The governor's press secretary and photographer, the head of his security detail, and a fourth companion, as well as a civilian spectator, were all killed in the incident, according to a local government source.

The terrorist incident was carried out by "forces of evil," according to the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

This attack is aimed not only at the legitimate Yemeni government, but also at the Yemeni people as a whole, who are seeking security, peace, stability, and prosperity at a time when forces of darkness are standing in their way, according to the statement.

Saudi Arabia has stood by Yemen and the Yemeni people since the beginning, and it calls on all parties to resume implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, unify in their fight against terrorism, and restore security and stability to the country, according to the ministry.
