A new glimpse at Egyptian actor Mohamed Emam's latest film, "Saqr Wi Kanarya," has been revealed.
The cast also includes Chico, Yasmin Raeis, Yosra El Lozy, Khaled El Sawy, Yara El Sokkary, Entsar, and more.
It will also feature several guest spots, including Mahmoud Abdel Moghny and Diab.
Hussein El Menbawy directs the pic from a script by Ayman Wattar. Oscar Distribution Production is the studio behind the project.
"Saqr Wi Kanarya" is centered around Saqr, a gangster who decides to leave the crime world behind in search of a quieter life, thats when he meets Bilal, a writer obsessed with the world of espionage and adventures.
Together, a series of paradoxes and unexpected situations launches, turning their lives upside down.
Principal photography was launched in multiple locations, including Egypt and London.
In October 2025, Emam described the pic as "One of my closest works" and reunited him with several previous collaborators.
“I’m shooting these days what is probably the best film I’ve made so far.. with one of the best and sweetest stars in the Arab world as well as the director I love working with the most, and we’ve achieved great things together before," Emam wrote on Instagram. "It is scripted by one of the kindest writers in Egypt and produced by the strongest producers in the film industry. I hope you like it a lot.. wait for the surprise soon.”.
"Saqr Wi Kanarya" is set to hit the theaters on June 24. Check out the new teaser trailer below.
