Egyptian actor Mohamed Emam's latest film "Saqr Wi Kanarya" is set to hit cinemas in the summer.
The cast also includes Chico, Yasmin Raeis, Yosra El Lozy, Khaled El Sawy, Yara El Sokkary, Entsar, and more.
It is scripted by Ayman Wattar, directed by Hussein El Menbawy, and produced by Wael Abdullah.
Principal photography was launched in multiple locations, including Egypt and London.
"Saqr Wi Kanarya" marks the second collaboration between Emam and Raeis after the 2020 film “Lis Bagdad”.

In October 2025, Emam took to social media to tease fans about a new project.
In a post on Instagram, he described the pic as "One of my closest works" and reunites him with several previous collaborators.
“I’m shooting these days what is probably the best film I’ve made so far.. with one of the best and sweetest stars in the Arab world as well as the director I love working with the most, and we’ve achieved great things together before," Emam added. "It is scripted by one of the kindest writers in Egypt and produced by the strongest producers in the film industry. I hope you like it a lot.. wait for the surprise soon.”
"Saqr Wi Kanarya" has set a theatrical release for May.

Emam made his last appearance on the big screen in the film "El Leab Ma El Eyal".
The pic hails from acclaimed filmmaker Sherif Arafa and marks the first collaboration between Arafa and Mohamed Emam, the son of his long-time collaborator Adel Emam.
“El Leab Ma El Eyal” features an ensemble cast that includes Asmaa Galal, Bayoumi Fouad, Bassem Samra, Haggag Abdul Azim, Wizo, Mustafa Gharib, and more.
The film, produced by United Artists for Cinema and Video, tells the story of a young man who faces a number of crises and hardships that turn his life upside down in a comedic framework.

Emam, born on December 16, 1984, comes from an artistic family as his father is ‘El Zaeem’ actor Adel Emam and the younger brother of director Rami Emam.
He went to Jesuit school before he entered the American University in Cairo. Emam studied theater and acted in many roles at the university, including “Atawa in El Maghmati” play directed by Mahmoud El Lozy.
Emam first began his acting career as a child, co-starring alongside his father in the 1990 film “Hanafi El Abha” (The Magnificent Hanafi).
His first role as an adult was in the 2003 TV series “Kanaria and Shorkah”. Emam’s first film as the main protagonist was “Al Beeh Romansy” (The Romantic Bey) in 2009.
His TV credits include "El Nemr", “Hogan”, “Lam’yy El Ott”,”Saheb El Saada”,”Firqat Naji Atallah”,”Khatout Hamra", “Bilshama’a El Ahmar”, and “Khatut Hamra”.
Emam is also known for his roles in films "Amohom", “Lis Bagdad”, “Lelyt Hana w Sorour”, “Gahim Fe El Hend”, “Captain Masr”,”Al-Bayh Romancy”, “Hassan and Marcus”, and “The Yacoubian Building”.
